THE LAKE NAIVASHA EXPERIENCE

The terrace at Lake Naivasha Resort overlooking lush gardens

Marabou Storks nestling atop submerged dying Acacia trees at the edge of the lake. With the recent rise in the level of the lake waters, the trees growing on the banks have slowly succumbed to effects of oxygen-poor water-logged soils

And the solitary grave slowly grew into a cemetery...

Revelers enjoying the sights and boating experience of Lake Naivasha.

Water bucks grazing peacefully on the shores of the Lake Naivasha

As the rays of the fierce equatorial sun begin to recede in the evening, these thermophobic hippos begin to emerge from the lake, yawning with their gargantuan mouths at a near 180 degrees.

A cormorant on a fishing mission takes off from the lake

There is an island on Lake Naivasha... and the whole damn island belongs to one human being, damn!

The evening sun setting on the lake gives it this grayish mystic hues
