TALES FROM THE AFTERLIFE

 

The Population Reference Bureau reckons that approximately 108B people have walked this earth since the days of akina T-rex and other Darwinian ancestors.  I'm assuming that "people" here refers to the species Homo sapiens. Out of curiosity... MICHAEL, GABRIEL, RAPHAEL, ARIEL & LUCIFER are identified as "archangels". Are there other archangels? Who are they? How many in total? And who's this guy Joel anyway? Another (arch)angel? Why archangels? What differentiates them from the "ordinary angels"? Trusted more? Michael & Gabriel seem like the trusted consiglieri;  They're mentioned a loooooot in the Good Book. Loved more?  Like Lucifer, the Morning Star? Was it his beauty? Intelligence? Spine? Musical talent? Or did they have special powers, skills, duties? Is the "angel of death" (Azriel) an archangel? I mostly slept through the CRE double lessons. Please forgive my many sins.   Not too long ago,  We had a mighty laugh at the expense of the grand old man of +256. The "35-year old" monarch was flagging off some dowdy bicycles, As we launched our menacing SGR, Amid great pomp and pageantry - of course! Kweli, vindu vi-change-njanga... We just had to usurp his place at the Hall of Shame? Ama these our wheelbarrows are autonomous, solar-powered, advanced Tesla machines with superior anticarcinogenic paintwork?

 

 

During my frequent episodes of insomnia, I often muse about technology that can ‘unscramble an egg’. To some, of my reflections are pretty amateurish.   Yet, my countrymen are here thinking: ‘Scorched Earth Policy’! “Let’s just burn it to the ground; We’ll reconstruct when we seize power”.   NEWSFLASH: The technology is yet to be invented!
